Our Community Folk Choir is about experiencing the goodness and connection that is making music together! If you LOVE TO SING, want to make new friends, and feel authentically connected and uplifted through music, this experience is for you!
Over the course of our time together we deep dive into 12- 20 songs that focus on connection to self, community and uphold basic values of kindness, authenticity, and feeling deeply (among other things). Katie’s originals are the backbone of our repertoire. She also brings songs from her many travels - songleading all along the West Coast and leading at singing gatherings.
All songs are taught by ear with lyric sheets available. Occasionally Katie incorporates sheet music as needed but reading sheet music is not a requirement.
Our Community Folk Choir allows for experimentation and growth. The more we sing and hear each other, the more we progress in our musicianship both as individuals and as a group entity. We sing together and we grow together.

Community SONG & Snack SOIREE
July 26 2pm - 4pm
Eugene Garden Club
This is an event that is open for drop in - for us and our loved ones, and also for the wider community so we can share our joy of singing (and maybe convert some folks too!)
Light childcare and kids zone will be at this event!
The Choir meets both on Thursdays and Tuesday. This allows for flexibility in your schedule. Perhaps one week you come Tuesday, one week you come Thursdays, and one week you come to both! You are in no way “required” to come to both, or even every week, but you are most WELCOME to come as many times as you are able. Ideally, you would plan on coming at least once a week, but if things come up (sickness, travel etc) you will always be welcomed back into the group and we will catch you up on anything you’ve missed.
Our last session, Sunday July 26, will be our *Song Soiree!* You are welcome to invite friends and family so we can spread the joy of singing together!
Singing is our birthright. It is for all of us. Let’s create together and sing ourselves alive!
